ABOUT THE TEACHER

PROFESSIONAL BIO

Mr. Andrew journey with the guitar began at the age of eight, when he first picked up the electric guitar. During his high school and junior college years, he was an active participant in the local music scene, leading his bands to victory in multiple battle of the bands competitions and performing at various local venues. 

 

At the age of 22, Mr. Andrew's musical path took a significant turn when he was accepted into the prestigious classical guitar program at California State University, Fullerton. There, he earned both his Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees, studying under renowned instructors such as Martha Masters, Andrew York, and Vladimir Gorbachev. His education provided a solid foundation in classical guitar, which he further enriched through extensive studies and performances in Europe during the summer of 2014. At various esteemed guitar festivals and music academies, he had the opportunity to learn from and perform with celebrated guitarists like Judicael Perroy, Gabriel Bianco, and Florian Larousse.

 

Mr. Andrew's dedication to his craft is evident not only in his formal education but also in his active participation in masterclasses with many of the world's leading guitarists. These experiences have deeply influenced his playing style and teaching methodology. As a performer and educator, Mr. Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep passion for music, aiming to inspire and cultivate the talents of his students through the insights he has gained from his illustrious mentors.
