It's time for your first meeting with this student and their parent. First impressions are an important step to helping students be comfortable. Engaging a student and guiding them through WePlay Music's high-quality music program requires active participation from both the teacher and the front desk.

Remember to:

• Be cordial and friendly

• Gauge the student's comfort and personal space

• Get to know the student's likes and dislikes

• Demonstrate a piece for inspiration

• Engage with the parent with a friendly, yet professional demeanor.

After your Trial Lesson:

Guide and walk with the Parent and Student to the front desk and do the following:

• Answer any questions the parents may have that you can answer as a teacher.

• Talk to them about the programs we offer to the school. Be sure to include RCM and/or RSL.

• Mention their starting materials.
